[Plymouth]

Marched over to barracks with New Zealanders to get paid £3. Came back alone, did not get back till noon. Did bit of work in afternoon. Went over fence ashore to show at night. In bed by 10.

    I wonder if “Went over fence ashore” means that he took an unscheduled shore leave?
